Patriot
Four arms. Four motors.
The configuration for long-endurance missions.
A rugged, heavy-lift UAV with coaxial motors and independent electronic speed controllers, designed to carry demanding professional payloads.
1.75 kg payload · 52 Ah battery.
Excludes a fixed 10-minute reserve. Modelled, not flight-tested.

See how payload and battery choice affect estimated mission time. These examples use the same cruise / mission model as the calculator.
4.7 kg battery · 17.90 kg total weight
5.2 kg battery · 18.40 kg total weight
| Total payload | 40 Ah battery | 52 Ah battery |
|---|---|---|
| 1.75 kg | 42 min | 55 min |
| 3 kg | 37 min | 49 min |
| 5 kg | 31 min | 41 min |
| 8 kg | 23 min | 32 min |
All figures exclude a fixed 10-minute battery reserve and include the 11.45 kg airframe, battery and stated payload. Payload includes the sensor, mount and accessories. These are modelled estimates, not measured Kestrel flight results or guaranteed endurance. Cruise efficiency and reserve are modelling assumptions; wind, battery condition and powered payloads can reduce flight time.
Calculate your Kestrel missionChoose your aircraft, payload and battery. See a modelled flight-time estimate and build a configuration brief.

Based on Evolution Flight’s flight-performance model, using your selected aircraft, battery and payload. The calculator uses the efficient-cruise profile to estimate available mission minutes.
The calculator subtracts a fixed 10-minute battery reserve from the modelled flight time before displaying your mission minutes. This reserve model does not predict a landing voltage. Cruise efficiency is a modelling assumption, not a measured mission result.
Weight includes airframe, battery and entered payload. Powered sensors, wind, air density, battery health and flight manoeuvres may reduce endurance. Low-thrust estimates extrapolate below the bench measurements. Confirm your complete mission configuration with the team.
Modelled estimates, not guaranteed flight times. Your choices carry into the enquiry.
Designed for survey-grade LiDAR, cinema cameras and other professional sensors, the Kestrel uses the same airframe as the Patriot with coaxial X8 arms. Swap the arms to change configuration, and remove arms and landing legs without tools for compact transport.
Each arm has two independent motors and controllers, providing propulsion redundancy.
Coaxial propulsion helps maintain control and stability in turbulent conditions.
Remove the arms in a few minutes as part of everyday assembly and pack-down. The landing legs also detach without tools for compact transport.
Encrypted data links, permission-only hardware pairing, and locally retained flight data.
A dampened quick-connect mount helps isolate vibration and makes payload changes simple.

Open Evolution Flight OneKestrel flight times are modelled cruise / mission estimates, not measured flight results. At a 1.75 kg payload, the calculator estimates 42 minutes with 40 Ah or 55 minutes with 52 Ah, with a fixed 10-minute reserve already excluded.
Check the complete take-off mass. With an 11.45 kg airframe and 25 kg maximum take-off mass, the remaining mass is 8.85 kg with the 4.7 kg / 40 Ah battery or 8.35 kg with the 5.2 kg / 52 Ah battery. This must include the payload, mount and any additional equipment. The separate 10 kg payload ceiling does not override the take-off limit.
Send the exact sensor model, total installed mass, dimensions, centre of gravity, power demand and data interfaces. Compatibility and mission performance are reviewed for the complete configuration. Read our LiDAR drone buying guide to prepare your brief.
Yes. Patriot and Kestrel share the same airframe. Fit Patriot arms for the X4 quadcopter configuration, or change to the Kestrel arm set for the coaxial X8 configuration.
No tools are needed to remove the arms or landing legs. Removing the arms takes only a few minutes and is part of normal assembly and pack-down, leaving a very compact aircraft for transport.
Carry a spare arm plus a clockwise (CW) and a counter-clockwise (CCW) propeller to have the parts for a replacement arm setup available in the field.
Share the sensor model, total weight, dimensions, power needs and data interfaces. We will review the mounting and aircraft configuration with you.
Endurance depends on the complete configuration, flight profile, conditions and reserve requirements. Ask for a mission-specific estimate; the published endurance range is not a claim at maximum payload.
